What If Education Matched Real Life?

What If Education Matched Real Life?
Rethinking the Question
What if education looked like the life you actually live—not a version designed for a hundred years ago?
What if you didn’t need to choose between enriching your child’s learning, getting your work done, doing a workout, spending time together, or having access to a real community?
Lessons from History
For most of human history, learning wasn’t separate from life.
It happened in gardens and kitchens, workshops and markets, at the feet of elders and alongside everyday rituals.
The village raised the child—the town square supported the parent.
It was intergenerational, values-driven, and beautifully inefficient in all the right ways.
At All One Thing, that’s not a dream. It’s the blueprint we’re building.
A Family-First Community Model
We blend open-source AI education, real-world classes, and rich human connection.
Imagine experts from the community, neighbors, and local grandparents teaching classes.
Designed for littles, homeschoolers, after-schoolers, or anyone seeking something better than grades & test scores.
Not about fitting your child into the system—it’s about building a model that fits your family.
AI Tutor Platform
At the center is an open-source AI tutor platform—one that personalizes learning for every child, inspired by Alpha’s 2-hour daily learning block model.
Our version: open source, accessible, community-powered, and portable (at home or on the road).
Launching in Los Angeles
Our first physical location is launching in Los Angeles, in partnership with REALM, a visionary educational organization founded by two moms who’ve spent 14 years rethinking school from the ground up.
-
240+ classes each semester: architecture, herbalism, AI storytelling, robotics, engineering, game design, and more.
-
Core skills (math, literacy, science) embedded through creative, real-world application.
Beyond Kids: Supporting Parents
This isn’t just about kids.
Kids can’t thrive if their parents are just surviving.
Right now, too many parents are piecing together childcare, school alternatives, side gigs, and screen time—while trying to stay sane, stay connected, and maybe sneak in five minutes of quiet.
We expect children to flourish in systems where their parents are exhausted, isolated, and unsupported. It doesn’t work. It never did.
A Full-Spectrum, Intergenerational Space
No more finishing Zoom calls from the car while one kid is in jiu jitsu and your other kid is on a tablet in the backseat.
At All One Thing, you can bring all your kids to classes they love, grab a latte or food, plug into the coworking hub, join a yoga or weights session, or just talk to another adult who gets it.
Like the village of old—reimagined for today.
Where school, work, and life coexist under one roof.
- Taco Tuesdays
- Sunset Sundays
- Intergenerational coworking
- Spectrum-friendly classes
- Wellness sessions
- Art nights
- Pop-up markets
A rhythm of life, not just a schedule.
Building a National Network
Ultimately, All One Thing is building a national network—so that no matter where you go, you can drop into a location that shares your values.
Where your kids can learn, where you can breathe, and where you’re not just surviving your family’s lifestyle—you’re designing it.
